Surgery April 7th 2008
Well it’s been nearly impossible to find a facility near by my place here in Bailey to do water therapy prior to my surgery. See, my idea - and my doctors all agreed that doing so would obviously and simply make me feel better. Maybe I could get off some of the junk I’m on, namely the anti-depressant which just admitting to needing makes me more depressed so what’s the point… but therapy in a pool would help my post surgery recovery time as well. The closest places for me are down the hill in Littleton or up in Boulder ( thank you Carla ). One thing that did look promising, if not freakin’ awesome but crazy expensive was this boss and coolio info swim tub pool thing, just a tad outta reach but neat. I was gonna link it, but I’d come back to my own site too much and daydream over it. See the problem with going down the hill is 9 times out of 10 I get sick as hell and we have to turn back. Luckily I did make it down to see Dr. Westerman and we basically came to the conclusion - just do the damn thing. And so, the damn thing is scheduled for 4/7/2008 - which is also a year to the day when I decided to buy the place Im in now in Bailey Colorado.
Side note, and apology. While at Dr. Westermans his lovely nurse and assistant was taking my blood pressure and as she leaned in to read the dial, her mammalian protuberance landed squarely and quite perfectly in my relaxed and open hand. I did not catch her name, but I would like to say I’m sorry. Sorry for not moving my hand but I sensed she knew where her teet had landed and also didn’t want to draw attention to it and sorry for not know her name, as a rule I like to at least know a persons name if I am going to fondle them. Even if by accident.
No. You can not take me anywhere.
On to something MUCH better. Since last year sometime, getting my hair cut has been the least of my worries or concern. And so, it is as long as it was in the old days. I was just gonna go in and have it snipped off before surgery by my bestest buddy in the whole world and favorite pain in the ass Hana suggested I donate it to Locks of Love ( link is in the blogroll ). I would like to add that out of all the Koreans I know, which is none beside her, she’s my favorite. They basically take your hair and weave it into wigs for cancer patients. Mainly kids I believe,…so as long as they pull out the VERY FEW gray hairs some lucky kid will have my hair. I’m actually thinking of shaving my head. ( Who the hell do I have to impress - except the next person that takes my blood pressure. ) and donating enough hair for two wigs. I’m going to email them to see if that’s even possible. Even just the one donation will be fine by me. I’m just glad to to it. Yes - I will be sure to post a before and after and I will keep it unaltered,…unlike the hip pic.
Other than that stuff which is a lot I do want to mention the serious stuff. I’m still dealing with shoulder pain that is sometimes off the scale. This has me alarmed. Dr. Westerman wants me to do some exercises to see if it just a result of being sedentary but he and I are both concerned though he seems skeptical that the pain is AVN like in my hip. Keep you posted on that one. Also new to the mi, chest pains. VERY infrequent but enough to warrant posting here. Again, may be due to the fact that I can barely move some days, I dunno.
So consider yourself caught up and I’ll post again soon. Thanks for poppin’ by.

Hey Handsome!
Sure was hopin the New year would be a better twist of events for you. I think its cool you donating to Locks of Love. Two of my sisters have donated several times. Its a wonderful organization! Came through Bailey a few weeks back and thought about you and how you might be feelin. Had to take youngest little one to childrens Hospital for an appointment. You wouldnt believe all the snow we are getting here! This is the most snow this early in season I have seen in almost 30 years here. The wildlife is starting to show signs of wearing down, DOW is starting to feed the 1000’s of deer and our few small herds of antelope, and baiting the elk to hay drops as they can fend for themselves so far, as long as we dont get much more snow. We have gotten a total of over 7 feet of snow here in town. I love the snow but enough is enough! I am so busy moving the snow I havent had time to play. Oh well all in due time, huh. We miss you on the Timberline forum! After you have this surgery and your feeling like it, we will have to plan a get together! Just remember there are many of us out here that are thinkin of ya and rootin for you to get better!
