Colon Related Stuff
Here’s where it all started for me. My sexy colon.
There should be a blog specifically dealing with my crohn’s disease. I was diagnosed in 2004. At first I was convinced I had colon cancer and the show was over for me. Actually at first I thought the blood in my duke was undigested strawberries. Wishful thinking, but funny aye? I didn’t really have a family doctor so my wife suggested I go to where she had been going for years. Pinion Family Practice in Littleton Colorado. First to boldly go where no one had gone before ( up my wazoo ) was the lovely Dr. Darcy Scheeler. She used this unique clear plastic funnel looking cheek spreader doodad, so after the Tupperware party she referred me Dr. Santosh Nandi who was the first to diagnose me as having Ulcerative Colitis. Relieved it wasn’t cancer I made this video, totally not understanding how serious things were. He thought I had a great attitude and believe he may have showed fellow Proctologist at a conference and his family. Anyway he then in turn sent me off to South Denver GI. I mostly see Dr. John Sabel or Dr. Pete Baker there but I’ve also seen Dr. David M. Scheider, Dr. Richard M. Roman, Dr. Cary Patt, Dr. Marcelo Kugelmas, Dr. Lawrence S. Kim, Dr. Philip Hanna, and of course Dr. Erik J. Pieramici who was especially helpful when I was hospitalized. I’m sure as this disease runs it’s course I’ll see the rest of the staff at some point. It was Dr. Baker who started calling my condition Crohn’s Colitis. Normally, or statistically Crohn’s is a small intestine disease, mine however presents on the large intestine. The entire large intestine, or colon in my case. So I will use this page to update and link to resources related to Crohn’s. Hopefully you’ll find it useful and informative.
